This role supports production operations by ensuring safe, efficient material handling and maintaining organized storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the forklift and operate it in a safe and controlled manner.
• Cut cores for all production lines while minimizing core waste by adhering to specifications.
• Transport all packaging supplies to the appropriate lines and return them to designated storage areas.
• Move boxed materials to production lines and return them to the designated return area.
• Maintain core and corrugated storage areas in an organized and controlled manner.
• Transport finished goods to loading docks and load products onto shuttles or outbound trailers.
• Unload materials received at the plant from shuttles or inbound trailers.
• Gather and dispose of all garbage in the appropriate dumpsters.
• Ensure all materials brought into the plant are clean and free of foreign debris.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong people and customer service skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to read a tape measure in both standard and metric units.
• Problem-solving ability and understanding of production costs, including cost-saving ideas and implementation.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.
• Familiarity with best-practice safety procedures.
• Completion of ISO training.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Work a 12-hour workday.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
• Pushing and pulling roll carts and hoists.
• Lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Ascending and descending ladders throughout the workday.
