Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot production floor equipment.
- Complete washouts of the machinery at the end of a production run.
- Operate various manufacturing equipment in a mass/high volume production environment.
- Manipulate small parts and gauges as needed.
- Solve problems using thinking and reasoning skills.
- Set up machines at the start of each shift.
- Perform safety checks throughout the shift.
- Follow written and verbal instructions to package products.
- Adjust machine components according to finished product specifications.
- Load packaging materials into the machine.
- Stop and adjust the machine in case of malfunctions or jams.
- Troubleshoot during operation.
- Inspect and remove defective items or those not meeting quality standards.
- Assist in moving supplies and discarding waste.
- Filling in for other teammates as needed.
- Assist the Area Supervisor in managing production line crew.
- Participate in investigations of safety/environmental incidents and production quality problems.
- Report all accidents to the Area Supervisor and assist in completing accident reports.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization according to the cleaning plan and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct quality control examinations of products.
- Complete required written and electronic reports.
- Manage timekeeping for line/department employees.
- Communicate performance information to other shifts.
- Clear lines at the end of the shift.
- Take required training, including washout training for sanitary washouts.
Skills & Specifications
- Cross-trained operator capable of running all production floor equipment.
- Able to operate various manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
- Able to manipulate small parts and gauges.
- Able to use thinking and reasoning skills to solve problems.

- Able to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
