Utility Operator - B Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the forklift and operate it safely.
• Cut cores for all lines and minimize waste by cutting cores within specification.
• Transport packaging supplies to appropriate lines and return them to designated storage area.
• Transport boxed materials to appropriate lines and return them to designated return area.
• Maintain core and corrugated storage areas in an organized and controlled manner.
• Transport finished goods to loading docks and load products onto shuttles or outbound trailers.
• Unload materials from shuttles or inbound trailers.
• Gather and take out all garbage and dispose of it in appropriate dumpsters.
• Ensure all materials brought into the plant are clean and free of foreign debris.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Excellent safety record.
• Familiarity with best practice safety procedures.
• Completion of ISO training.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Work a 12-hour workday.
• Stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach.
• Push and pull roll carts and hoists.
• Lift up to 55 pounds.
• Ascend and descend ladders throughout the work day.
