MES Utility- B shift
About the role
Provide accurate and timely support to production and inventory reporting within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for a 90,000 sq. ft. molding facility operating 68 injection molding presses producing 185 SKUs. Responsibilities include preparing raw materials for North American Molding Center (NAMc) operations with precise documentation to ensure traceability and compliance, handling raw and finished materials to support manufacturing and packaging workflows, and operating within Mold Utility processes, including inspection, gauging, cleaning, maintenance support, and auxiliary equipment operation. The role requires maintaining accurate records, collaborating with production, quality, and logistics teams, and ensuring compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations.
Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write, and converse in English is required. This is a B-Shift position (5:54 PM – 6:00 AM).
Responsibilities
- Support accurate and timely data entry and reporting in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), including printing labels using ShopPrint with correct information such as part numbers, descriptions, and barcodes.
- Monitor and validate production and inventory data on molding operations, including issuance of raw material to orders, label reconciliation, and order confirmation with accurate quantities.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with reporting standards.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods within the facility, including preparing raw materials for use in NAMc molding operations.
- Label and stage materials according to production schedules.
- Document material usage and maintain traceability records.
- Support manufacturing and packaging operations through timely material movement.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform tasks related to Mold Utility processes, including inspection and dimensional checks.
- Operate auxiliary equipment as needed to support molding operations.
- Participate in cross-training to ensure flexibility and coverage within the team.
- Conduct training sessions on Mold Utilities within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) framework.
- Conduct on-the-job training (OJT) of Mold Utilities.
- Perform periodic inventory verifications, including cycle counting.
- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report safety concerns and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with production, quality, and logistics teams.
- Report operational issues and suggest process improvements.
- Support team goals through collaboration and shared responsibilities.
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of manufacturing experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED. 2 years of related manufacturing experience preferred.
- Mold Utility and Packaging process knowledge preferred.
- MES experience or knowledge required; SAP experience preferred.

Schedule
B-Shift: 5:54 PM – 6:00 AM, 4 days minimum in-office presence per week.
