Responsibilities
- Coordinating and implementing the department’s technical training program
- Overseeing all licensing training for Irving Water
- Delivering training
- Coordinating with outside vendors
- Purchasing training materials
- Managing the partnership with IISD for career and technical education
- Supporting water conservation initiatives through public education and the City’s leak detection program
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Water Operations Management, or a related field
- Three years of water distribution system experience, including at least one year each in water operations and wastewater operations
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- TCEQ Class C Water Distribution License (with the ability to obtain a Class B within two years)
- TCEQ Level II Wastewater License (with the ability to obtain Level III within two years)
- Ability to meet qualifications required for TCEQ approved water/wastewater licensing instructor
Qualifications
This position provides technical guidance to two to five employees and requires a strong background in water distribution system experience.
Pay
PAY GRADE GG20 / FULL PAY RANGE $29.47 - $41.52 PER HOUR
