UTD Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Intern - Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

About the role

MPOWERHealth is seeking an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. The ideal candidate must be enrolled in a Master's program focused on Intraoperative Neuromonitoring and reside in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities

• Supports the ancillary functions of the business and gains hands-on neuromonitoring experience through clinical research support, audit support, clinical education development, and other roles as directed by their manager.
• Works with business unit leaders to identify and develop growth opportunities and drive efficiencies within the current business.
• Supports patient consultations by explaining test procedures and applying recording electrodes according to the international 10-20 Electrode Placement System.
• Ensures equipment is calibrated, evaluated, and adjusted to optimize recording and stimulation parameters, and troubleshoots issues as needed.
• Documents significant events and stages of surgery accurately, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
• Aids in research-related activities, including literature searches, database searches, and audit completions.
• Attends scientific courses and seminars for continuing education, if time permits.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or higher (e.g., Masters, PhD, MD).
