USSF EPME Curriculum Developer

Sigmatech is seeking multiple USSF Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME) Curriculum Developers to assist in determining education needs and requirements directly affecting Space Force EPME across the continuum.

About the role

Supports STARCOM, Delta 13, and USSF EPME education initiatives, solving education needs for Total Force components through development, refinement, and application of education modalities. Uses needs analyses to determine and develop EPME instruction and evaluation. Oversees planning, researching, development, evaluation, and revision of EPME curriculum for resident and distributed learning courses.

Attends private-sector symposiums and training events to assimilate best practices, synchronize EPME educational methodologies with generational requirements, and develop alternate training methodologies. Supervises teams to accomplish Headquarters-required curriculum changes and acts as Lead Instructional Designer for Space Force EPME requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and revise core curriculum, making recommendations on learning objectives, course content, methodology, textbook design, evaluation instruments, editing, production, and related aspects of curriculum development.
  • Author innovative input to the curriculum and review processes as well as the curriculum program plan.
  • Design assigned core course lesson plans for EPME.
  • Determine the need for curriculum changes and update lessons, readings, tests, and rubrics accordingly.
  • Participate in course development and make major modifications to enhance the curriculum.
  • Create new lesson plans to improve or keep pace with changing educational developments.
  • Establish course objectives in assigned areas of responsibility through direct and indirect research covering leadership, communication, profession of arms, international security theories, and holistic principles spanning primary, intermediate, senior, and executive levels of EPME.
  • Review and coordinate all changes to EPME lesson plans.
  • Review and provide professional recommendations on all EPME educational products.
  • Review, provide recommendations, and guidance on EPME data generated from evaluation.
  • Review seminar, auditorium, and online critiques where appropriate.
  • Stay abreast of course objectives and goals.
  • Participate in the development of EPME short- and long-range educational plans.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in an education environment, including teaching and curriculum development.
  • A bachelor’s degree or real-world experience may substitute for a master’s degree (preferred).
  • Experience is not limited to USAF or USSF; experience in other branches is acceptable and desired.
  • Experience with Instructional Systems Design and/or the ADDIE process (desired).
  • No clearance required (Top Secret/SCI eligible preferred).

Location

Primary work location is Peterson SFB, CO (Colorado Springs), with the possibility of remote/telework.

Pay

Salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including experience, education/training, key skills, location, and contractual requirements.
