About the role
As part of our Guest Services team, you will ensure a safe, welcoming, and smooth experience for all guests attending events at our facilities. This role involves ticket taking, guest assistance, access control, and monitoring event areas to maintain safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Take tickets at facility entrances and seat guests according to ticket numbers.
- Assist guests with questions, concerns, and directions, including ADA compliance for guests with disabilities.
- Monitor door entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Patrol and maintain the Front of House area, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Report incidents, unsafe conditions, or policy violations to appropriate personnel immediately.
- Ensure guests have correct tickets for the event, date, and time; direct guests to the Box Office or Supervisor if issues arise.
- Scan tickets efficiently, depositing part into the drop box and returning the stub to the guest.
- Handle minor guest complaints calmly and professionally.
- Provide directions to handicapped seating, restrooms, lost and found, and other event-specific information.
- Monitor assigned areas before, during, and after events for damage, lost articles, or safety concerns; report findings to Event Supervisor.
- Greet guests, check tickets for seating access, and direct them to assigned seats.
- Monitor sections for unruly guests, accidents, or unsafe conditions; report violations per building safety standards.
- Assist guests with directions, questions, and other needs throughout the event.
- Attend event staff meetings, pre-event briefings, and training to stay updated on policies and procedures.
Ramp Guard Responsibilities
- Remain stationed at the designated ramp location for the entire shift.
- Control access to the ramp area, ensuring no unauthorized use by guests or employees.
- Direct all individuals to enter through the designated lobby entrance and complete Evolv security screening.
- Maintain communication with the Lobby Supervisor; permit access beyond the ramp only when authorized.
- Follow Lobby Supervisor instructions, including procedures for inclement weather.
- Report to the assigned ramp post on time and remain attentive to security duties throughout the shift.
- Notify and obtain approval from the Lobby Supervisor before leaving the post for any reason, including restroom breaks.
- Ensure continuous coverage of the ramp area by coordinating with the Lobby Supervisor before temporarily departing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on guest service and safety.

This is an on-site, part-time, non-exempt position located at 5001 Coliseum Drive, North Charleston, SC 29418.
