Responsibilities
- Partner with product, design, and development teams to advocate for user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Understand stakeholder research needs and select appropriate research methodologies to address them.
- Execute end-to-end UX research projects from kickoff through fielding, interviews, analysis, and findings presentation.
- Develop UX research artifacts including research proposals, moderator guides, and results summaries.
- Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Identify additional research opportunities that add value and execute them efficiently.
- Recruit and maintain research participant pools from internal and external sources.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on user behavior and research insights across the organization.
- Launch surveys, analyze results, and support research reporting across multiple product areas.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience conducting formal UX research.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
- Experience conducting usability studies, user interviews, ethnographic research, benchmarking, focus groups, and surveys.
- Strong experience in research analysis and report writing.
- Experience supporting full-cycle product development through UX research.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and consult with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of user behavior, pain points, and experience design principles.
- Practical knowledge of statistics and data interpretation.
- Experience with UX research tools such as OptimalSort, UserZoom, and UserTesting.
- Experience with survey platforms such as Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience using Slack.
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in ambiguous environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Human Factors, Social Sciences, Library Science, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant UX research experience may be considered.
- Strong background in psychology or human behavior research.
- Experience conducting large-scale ethnographic research and usability-focused studies.
