User Experience Designer

About the role

Epic is seeking a UX Designer to lead the experience and visual design for several development teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with end-users to understand their needs, conduct research on workflows, and collaborate with developers to create intuitive and visually appealing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with end-users to gather insights and requirements
  • Research user workflows and contextual usage of applications
  • Work alongside developers to design intuitive and beautiful applications with sound information architecture
  • Demonstrate ideas through various levels of design fidelity including sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills
  • Education or experience in user-centered design techniques
  • Bachelor's degree or greater
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI, area (reimbursed)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of information architecture and usability principles

Skills

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with user research methods and usability testing
  • Knowledge of web development technologies and standards
