User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Lead
Work Location: Remote (Hybrid in Austin area) | Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card holder
About the Role
Lead the optional Zenius business-facing UAT support stream. The role facilitates scenario development, test planning, execution coordination, defect triage, business validation, status reporting, sign-off, and exit-criteria validation while Fluxx retains responsibility for product testing and technical defect correction.
Responsibilities
- Develop the UAT approach, schedule, entry criteria, exit criteria, roles, communication cadence, and reporting framework in coordination with Fluxx and TxDOT.
- Facilitate development of business test scenarios covering end-to-end grants, contracts, solicitations, approvals, amendments, payments, compliance, reporting, closeout, integrations, and migrated data.
- Create or coordinate detailed test scripts, expected results, test data needs, traceability, and tester assignments.
- Prepare testers through orientation sessions, execution guidance, office hours, and supporting materials.
- Coordinate UAT execution, monitor progress, resolve procedural questions, and ensure evidence is captured consistently.
- Lead business-focused defect triage with TxDOT and Fluxx, including severity assessment, reproducibility, business impact, prioritization, retest planning, and closure validation.
- Maintain UAT dashboards, defect logs, decision logs, daily status, risks, blockers, and completion metrics.
- Coordinate retesting and regression validation for corrected defects affecting business scenarios.
- Validate that open items, workarounds, and residual risks are documented and accepted before UAT closure.
- Prepare user sign-off packages and confirm approved exit criteria have been satisfied.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, quality assurance, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software testing, business validation, or UAT coordination experience; at least 3 years supporting enterprise implementations.
- Experience leading business testers through scenario development, scripted execution, defect triage, retesting, and sign-off.
- Knowledge of test planning, traceability, defect lifecycle, severity/priority classification, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience testing workflow-driven SaaS applications, integrations, and migrated data.
- Strong facilitation, organization, reporting, and cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, Agile testing, or comparable certification.
- Experience with grants management, contract management, government, transportation, or aviation systems.
- Experience with Fluxx, Intelligrants/Agate, or comparable platforms.
- Experience coordinating UAT across multiple business units and distributed users.

Working Relationships
Reports operationally through the Zenius delivery organization and works day-to-day with the Fluxx Project Manager, TxDOT project leadership, TxDOT subject matter experts, and other Fluxx and Zenius workstream leads. The role must follow the agreed communication, governance, escalation, confidentiality, and security processes for the engagement.
