Green Bay Dressed Beef LLC (Acme Street), an American Foods Group company, is seeking a Maintenance I for our Acme plant.
Responsibilities
- Identify and locate parts/part numbers from machinery or equipment manuals or parts catalogs (e.g., Cryovac, overhead chains, rail switches, conveyors, saws, etc.).
- Perform basic welding (e.g., primarily TIG; some MIG and stick) and identify good and bad welds.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (e.g., grease bearings, lubricate, check fluid levels, replace filters) to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Assemble, install, or repair plumbing (e.g., threading pipe), equipment, or machinery to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.
- Perform basic forklift maintenance (e.g., change tires, replace bushings).
- Perform basic hydraulics (e.g., change motors, make hoses).
- Complete necessary paperwork (PM sheets, work orders, etc.).
- Assist in performing maintenance on scale equipment (e.g., portable, floor, and matrix—hot/cold) in applicable area(s).
- Perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet) and on slippery surfaces at varied heights around moving equipment and parts, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and the ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints.
- Must successfully complete training in:
- Safety
- Safe Quality Food (SQF)
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Food defense
- Lock out/Tag out
- Forklift
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior lead experience in a USDA-inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
- 6 months of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior production experience.
- Work history in the last 12 months.
