About the role

The Scale Room Operator will be responsible for managing and operating scales used for weighing materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards. This role involves monitoring scale performance, performing routine maintenance, and handling data related to weight measurements. America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.

Responsibilities

• Open windows and remove plastic bags before production starts
• Set up scale and printer and turn them on
• Observe boxes coming to the scale and assign the proper grade
• Change grades once notified
• Replace label rolls when needed
