(USA) Systems and Infrastructure Engineer II
About the role
The Critical Facilities Engineer is responsible for managing and executing highly skilled technical operations within a mission critical data center environment. This role ensures continuous availability, reliability, and efficiency of building management systems (BMS), mechanical and electrical infrastructure, utility plants, and HVAC systems. The position also supports all maintenance activities required to sustain optimal data center performance.
What you'll do
- Inspecting and examining heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning, chillers, air compressors, heat exchangers, medium and low voltage switch gear, and all auxiliary equipment to locate defects in operations
- Managing water treatment chemicals for cooling towers, chillers, or other critical facilities systems
- Managing electrical distribution and controls including UPS systems, PDU’s, generators, switchgear
- Maintaining and updating the Energy Management Controls System and BMS systems
- Managing or performing preventive maintenance, installations, inspections, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, and replacement of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, associated parts and systems)
What you'll bring
- 8+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas (or a combination): Medium-voltage electrical distribution and controls, including emergency power. Mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, utility plant operations). Building management and automation controls. Vendor and contract management
- Experience with systems engineering projects and agile collaboration
- Strong knowledge of utility plant systems and ability to lead work on electrical and mechanical components
- Hands-on experience supervising vendors and contractors
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and operational safety standards
- Strong computer literacy and grasp of Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NFPA codes, and industry compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area
- Option 2: 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization related technologies

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Stock
