About the role
V2X is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN.
Responsibilities
- Act as an engineer throughout the development life cycle, from concept development, requirements definition, functional analysis, design review support, system implementation, integration, verification, and validation.
- Work within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT).
- Support the development and integration of advanced software/firmware/hardware systems including store control electronics, mission computers, avionics, sensors, certification and mission equipment for airborne and ground platforms.
- Support trade studies and analyze technical data under guidance.
- Collaborate within multi-discipline teams and contribute technical insights.
- Manage tasks and deliver quality work on schedule.
- Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- At least two (2) years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering.
- Familiarity with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.
- Experience with test execution, including assisting in test plan and procedure development.
- Understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts with a willingness to apply them in problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with agile development methods to deliver engineering solutions.
- Familiarity with DoD standards, processes, and regulatory requirements for defense systems development.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools, and languages.
- Previous collaboration with cross-functional teams on complex engineering projects.
- Understanding of hardware/software interface design and integration best practices.
Qualifications
- Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
