About the Role
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Conducts store tours to provide feedback and communicate business objectives, including store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides teams to implement business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manage and support customer service initiatives, such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
- Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved; develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and promoting a belonging mindset.
- Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and support initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Foster a high-performing team culture that embraces differences in people, ideas, and experiences.
- Work collaboratively, build trusting relationships, and communicate with impact to motivate and influence.

Requirements
- 2 years of college; OR
- 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
- 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
Associates must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments, Complex Structure adjustments, and state pay differentials where applicable.
