Position Summary

Responsible for operational work processes within the Distribution Center, driving end-to-end improvements through strategic partnerships and continuous improvement methodologies.

What you'll do...

  • Create strategic leadership partnerships with key management to drive process improvements.
  • Manage workload of Process Quality Engineers to ensure a balanced approach between network-driven projects and specific building improvements.
  • Apply continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Time and Motion Studies, Statistical Process Control, and Six Sigma to eliminate losses and establish standards.
  • Support the Walmart Performance System by engaging leaders, demonstrating program effectiveness, and implementing problem-solving skills and process improvement thinking.
  • Collaborate in One Best Way standard implementation and deviation processes, and drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects.
  • Supervise and develop associates by setting expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a team-based work environment.
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives, and participate in community outreach events.
  • Act with integrity, maintain high standards of ethics and compliance, and encourage learning from mistakes.
  • Strive for excellence, display curiosity, take calculated risks, and support continuous learning and change.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years’ experience in Continuous Improvement work or related area.
  • OR 6 years’ experience in Engineering, Continuous Improvement work or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience leading teams.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long term savings.
  • Knowledge and application of a functioning Quality Management System elements (for example, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Quality Key Performance Indicators).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters: Business Administration, Masters: Computer Engineering.
