Position Summary

Operates within the Distribution Center to enhance operational processes through loss profile management, process improvement, and strategic leadership.

What you'll do...

  • Create strategic partnerships with key management to drive end-to-end improvements in the Distribution Center.
  • Manage workload of Process Quality Engineers to ensure a balanced focus on network-driven projects and specific building improvements.
  • Apply continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Time and Motion Studies, Statistical Process Control, Process Deviation, 5S, and Six Sigma to eliminate losses and establish standards for sustained process improvements.
  • Support the Walmart Performance System by engaging leaders, demonstrating problem-solving skills, and implementing process improvement thinking.
  • Engage in the Daily Management System review and response process through root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
  • Collaborate in the One Best Way standard implementation and deviation process.
  • Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans, removing barriers, and adjusting performance.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including selection, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and promote a culture of belonging and continuous learning.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives, and participate in community outreach events.
  • Act with integrity, maintain high standards of ethics and compliance, and support the Walmart values.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years’ experience in Continuous Improvement work or related area, or
  • 6 years’ experience in Engineering, Continuous Improvement work or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience leading teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of a functioning Quality Management System elements (e.g., Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Quality Key Performance Indicators).
  • Experience with project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters: Business Administration, Masters: Computer Engineering.
