Position Summary

TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes touring stores, providing feedback, and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.

What you'll do...

  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
  • Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved by developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Supervises and develops opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.

  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and communicating goals and objectives.

  • Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
  • The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00, and additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges).
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 years’ of college; OR
    • 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR
    • 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
    • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Policy: Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
