About the role
Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services and provides guidance on self-service technology. Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies for various membership and payment types.
Responsibilities
- Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
- Handle merchandise according to proper procedures and report unsafe situations to facility management.
- Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, and identifying member needs.
- Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve member issues and concerns.
- Promote company products and services, zone the area, and arrange and organize merchandise.
- Assist members with transporting items and maintain a safe shopping environment.
- Review member receipts and secure Sam's Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
- Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and execute emergency response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company security and safety practices.
- Train Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, procedures, and new technology.
- Deliver training on new program rollouts and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain area of responsibility in accordance with company policies, handling returns, and identifying shrink and damages.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using company policies, data, and resources.
- Embrace and promote respect for individual differences, cultures, ideas, and experiences.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
