(USA) Member Specialist
About the role
Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services and provides guidance on self-service technology. Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies for various membership and payment types.
Responsibilities
- Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
- Handle merchandise according to proper procedures and report unsafe situations to facility management.
- Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, and identifying member needs.
- Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve member issues and concerns.
- Promote company products and services, zone the area, and arrange and organize merchandise.
- Assist members with transporting items and maintain a safe shopping environment.
- Review member receipts and secure Sam's Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
- Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and execute emergency response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company security and safety practices.
- Train Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, procedures, and new technology.
- Deliver training on new programs and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain area of responsibility in accordance with company policies, handling returns, and identifying shrink and damages.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using company policies, data, and resources.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
