(USA) Member Specialist

About the Role

Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services, and provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.

Responsibilities

• Processes member purchases, assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
• Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and correcting/reporting unsafe situations.
• Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
• Assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, and resolves member issues and concerns.
• Zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, and assists members with transporting items.
• Assists with securing and safeguarding Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
• Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures.
• Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaches new technology and tool functionality, and delivers new programs rollout training.
• Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures, including proper handling of returns and identifying shrink and damages.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register) and working with mobile retail applications (preferred).

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
