Position Summary

Leads process improvement tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, time and motion studies to eliminate losses in a Distribution Center.

What you'll do...

  • Leverages Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs to deliver expected functional area results through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and loss elimination.
  • Creates standard work to reduce process variation and supports area managers with process improvement projects.
  • Applies new network One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities.
  • Manages project execution of top losses in the functional area and assists in building the capability of other area managers and associates.
  • Supports department managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within process areas.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports company mission values and standards of ethics and integrity, and implements related action plans.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.

  • The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $156,000.00, with additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
  • Additional compensation for certain positions may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and stock.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years’ experience in Process Improvement.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, analytical skills, and Process or Value Stream Simulation knowledge.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Process Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management (or related program) environment.
  • Six Sigma - Certification.
