Position Summary

Leads Process Improvement tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, time and motion studies to eliminate losses in a Distribution Center according to Walmart's Performance System (WPS).

What you'll do...

  • Delivers expected functional area results through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis, loss elimination, and standard work creation.
  • Affords assistance in reviewing and responding to process improvement projects managed by area managers.
  • Applies new network One Best Way playbooks and contributes to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities.
  • Manages savings projects within the area of responsibility by reducing process losses.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology, managing project execution of top losses, assisting in building the capability of other area managers and associates.
  • Supports department managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within process areas.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Supervises and develops associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices, respecting individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, striving for excellence, and living better.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years’ experience in Process Improvement.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, analytical skills, Process or Value Stream Simulation knowledge.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Process Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management (or related program) environment.
  • Six Sigma - Certification.

  • The annual salary range for this position is $114,400.00 - $171,600.00.
  • Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
  • Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and stock.
