About the role
Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations, and guides implementation of business solutions. Communicates business objectives effectively to teams.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives (e.g., Store of the Community, community outreach programs), resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues, and developing action plans to correct deficiencies. Provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, identifying goals and objectives, measuring progress, addressing improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing guidance on business processes.

Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of college; OR
- 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
- 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Associates must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and State Pay Differential may apply based on location and external factors.
