About the role
You will mix and package company products, maintain inventory levels, and assist in shipping and receiving products and materials in the warehouse. This role involves performing manual warehouse duties, loading and unloading company trucks, common carriers, and customer vehicles using forklifts and other required equipment.
Responsibilities
- Ship and receive products according to company procedures and requirements.
- Assist in the maintenance of the warehouse facility.
- Serve on the company’s in-plant or off-site emergency response team.
- Handle hazardous materials or waste by placing them into appropriate containers.
- Receive, unload, and place hazardous waste into storage; complete inspections and paperwork associated with receiving and storing hazardous waste.
- Accurately handle hazardous waste while inside container storage areas or otherwise under company responsibility.
- Prepare for shipment and load hazardous waste destined for off-site recycling/disposal facilities; complete duties associated with shipping hazardous waste.
- Clean and maintain warehouse and equipment.
- Adhere to company quality processes.
- Assist in resolving product quality issues efficiently and timely.
- Perform all other duties as required.
- Align with all company policies, rules, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working within logistics, distribution, warehousing, or supply chain environments.
- 3 years of experience in bulk loading/unloading.
- Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment.
- Ability to learn accurate methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
- Physical ability to lift and carry at least 100 pounds.
- Physical ability to tilt back or break 800 lb. net drums onto a dolly.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must test negative on the company’s drug tests.
- Exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, and hazardous chemicals daily; may require safety equipment and/or precautions.
