About the role
The US Market and Business Development Manager – Hygienic Solutions is a strategic commercial role within the Flow Connections division of the Ideal Tridon Group. This position is responsible for driving market expansion, customer engagement, industry partnerships, and specification activity for Flow Connect’s growing hygienic portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new growth opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cell and gene therapy, and bioprocessing markets.
- Establish Flow Connect as a recognized provider of hygienic flow control solutions throughout North America.
- Expand market penetration beyond traditional hose assembly products into broader process solutions.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders including: Process Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Validation Teams, Procurement Leaders, Plant Management, Corporate Engineering Groups.
- Drive specification of Flow Connect products into new facilities, expansions, and retrofit projects.
- Represent Flow Connect at industry conferences, trade associations, technical events, and customer forums.
- Develop educational content, webinars, training programs, and market insights.
- Position Flow Connect as a technical thought leader within hygienic processing industries.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with: OEMs, Single-use technology providers, Engineering firms, Validation specialists, Industry consultants, Technology innovators.
- Support evaluation of potential licensing, distribution, and acquisition opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence regarding: Emerging technologies, Competitive developments, Customer pain points, Regulatory trends, New product opportunities.
- Provide actionable recommendations to Flow Connect leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, bioprocessing, or hygienic process industries.
- Strong understanding of GMP manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- PREFERRED: Experience with Single-Use Technologies, Bioprocessing Systems, Sanitary Components, Process Transfer Solutions, Validation Programs, Extractables, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operations, Existing relationships with: Major Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Biotechnology Companies, CDMOs, Engineering and EPC Firms, Industry Associations.
