US Field Medical Operational Excellence Sr. Manager
About the role
The US Field Medical Operational Excellence Sr. Manager is an integral member of the US Field Medical and Field Medical Operational Excellence Team. They support the development and implementation of key Global / US category-led initiatives impacting multiple Medical Affairs stakeholders and markets. They combine organizational, project management, financial excellence, and understanding of Medical Affairs strategic priorities to ensure seamless execution of medical plans.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Specialty Care Field Medical Director Lead to drive alignment and coordination of goals, priorities, and efforts across Medical Affairs categories and asset teams, and with other cross-functional partners.
- Serves as subject matter expert for applicable/assigned processes and provides operational support and/or guidance to teams as needed.
- Drives the creation/implementation of simple medical processes, working with key stakeholders, to support strategy and execution of Medical Affairs data generation/communication activities.
- Collaborates with key internal stakeholders and other Operational Excellence colleagues for consistency and alignment.
- Supports overall financial management and forecasting, with limited oversight, for assigned Asset or Field Medical area budget, working with finance, Field Medical Lead and other Field Medical team members as necessary.
- Supports project / program budget plan for Asset and/or Field Medical Group to provide management with accurate YTD budget spend.
- Provides financial guidance and serve as resource for questions.
- Collaborates with Medical, Finance, and Financial Systems teams (including the Portfolio on Demand (POD) team) to ensure accurate forecasting and budget management.
- Supports development of the Asset and/or Field Medical Strategic and Operating Plan.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a breadth of diverse capabilities including influencing and collaborating with peers, and driving operational excellence to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required + 8+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry or related fields; Advanced degree (e.g., masters) highly preferred + 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in working in Medical Affairs organization is essential and experience in other medical/clinical functions desirable. Prior experience in Project Management, Business Operations. Understanding and adherence to Project Management methodologies. Demonstrated results in creating and managing complex projects, including experience in budgetary management and fiscal awareness.

Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations. Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results. Must be independent, pro-active, self-motivated with strong organizational skills and possess the ability to manage priorities, handle multiple tasks with frequent tight deadlines. Excellent at attention to detail and follow-up skills. Knowledge of Pfizer systems including POD, Ariba BOD, EngagePlus. Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Pay
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00.
Schedule
This role is non-standard work schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements: Flexibility to travel 10% of the time, including potential international travel.
