About the role
The Department of Surgery at Cooper University Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time, fellowship-trained Urologic Oncologic Surgeon. The successful candidate should be a highly motivated individual with interests and capabilities in all aspects of medical and surgical Urologic Oncology.
Responsibilities
- Provide surgical treatment for genitourinary pathology including major and minor procedures of the abdomen, pelvis, and retroperitoneum, prostate, bladder, adrenal, testis, penile and ureteral cancer, robotic surgery.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
Requirements
- Fellowship trained in Urologic Oncology with an emphasis on robotic and minimally invasive surgery.
- Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Urology.
- Obtain NJ Medical License.
Qualifications
- MD degree.
- Recognized skills in the education of trainees, including but not limited to, Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze patient's medical history, physical condition, and examination results.
- Proficiency in operating on patients to correct deformities, repair injuries, prevent and treat diseases, or improve or restore patient's functions.
