URGENT: Quality Manager
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain inspection processes for manufactured and purchased products to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
- Define clear in-process and final inspection requirements for products and components.
- Maintain statistical quality data, analyze trends, and use findings to drive process improvements.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with quality plans, ISO 9001, and BRC standards.
- Investigate customer complaints thoroughly and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage returned goods, determine appropriate disposition, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and drive improvements in supplier quality.
- Train personnel on quality procedures, inspection methods, and standards to ensure consistent application across the organization.
- Evaluate new products, processes, and equipment for their impact on quality and recommend improvements or controls as needed.
- Manage and disposition non-conforming materials, including documentation and follow-up actions.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce defects and enhance overall product quality.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and BRC standards through system maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee quality personnel and inspection processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements.
- Analyze quality metrics and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of quality experience, with progressive responsibility in quality management.
- Strong quality management expertise, including development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems.
- Deep understanding of ISO 9001 certification, requirements, and processes.
- Knowledge of BRC standards and their application within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency with inspection tools, methods, and techniques for both manufactured and purchased products.
- Experience conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with quality plans and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier quality management, including vendor evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Hands-on experience managing non-conforming materials, including disposition and documentation.
- Proficiency with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and its application in product and process validation.
- Experience implementing CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze quality data and develop effective corrective actions.
- Technical expertise in ISO-based systems and inspection methods.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with suppliers.
- Leadership skills to guide teams in maintaining and improving quality standards.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inspections, records, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited college or institution.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Vast knowledge of ISO certification processes and requirements beyond ISO 9001.
- Experience working with continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in managing quality metrics and using data-driven approaches to improve processes.
- Experience training and mentoring staff on quality procedures and standards.
- Familiarity with managing quality in environments with high-speed machinery.
- Able to balance multiple priorities and projects within a quality management framework.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr. Health, Dental, Vision, 401k.
