Urgent Hiring: Helpers for In-Home Support - Dalton, NY, 14836

About the role

Location: Dalton, NY 14836. Start Date: ASAP. Helper Rate: $17 per hour. We are seeking a kind and reliable helper to assist a 72-year-old female with MS who uses an electric wheelchair and is unable to stand. She lives in a clean, spacious home and is otherwise active and in good health aside from mobility limitations. This role is to supplement existing weekday care with weekend support.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide companionship and supervision
• Ensure overall safety and comfort

Requirements

• Physically capable and safety-focused
• Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts
• Patient, compassionate, and attentive
• Experienced helper confident with full ADL support
• Able to provide gentle, respectful care while supporting the client's independence

Pay

$17 per hour

Schedule

Saturday & Sunday (bi-weekly). Morning: ~3 hours (around 7:30–8:00 AM start). Evening: 2–3 hours (around 7:00–10:00 PM). Flexible timing within these ranges.
