Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with urgent care, emergency room, or high acute family medicine experience to join our team. This role provides a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions, making diagnoses, and prescribing medications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
- Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
- One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or One (1) year of Urgent Care setting experience required
- Will consider 2 years of Family Medicine experience
- National Certification
- Active state medical licensure
Essential Functions
- Examining and treating patients
- Taking patients’ medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
- Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
- Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
- Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
- Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
- Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
