Urgent Care Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with urgent care, emergency room, or high acute family medicine experience to join our team. This role provides a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions, recognizing more serious conditions, and directing patients to the emergency room when necessary.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
• Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
• One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or One (1) year of Urgent Care setting experience required. Two (2) years of Family Medicine experience may also be considered.
• Active state medical licensure

Essential Functions

• Examining and treating patients
• Taking patients’ medical histories
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
• Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
• Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
• Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
