Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic urgent care services during day shifts at an on-site clinic in Lynchburg, Virginia.
- Interpret x-rays and manage acute outpatient orthopedic visits.
- Document patient care in Epic EMR.
Schedule
- 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
- Weekday hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Weekend hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- Active Virginia medical license and DEA registration.
- Maintain board certification.
- Prescriptive authority required.
Qualifications
- Average caseload of 30-35 patients per day, primarily acute presentations across all age groups.
- Support staff includes 1-2 medical assistants, another midlevel clinician, and on-site surgeons and pain physicians (available weekdays only).
- On-site location with no call responsibilities.
