Urgent Care Physician Associate - Locums Coverage

About the role

This position is for a Physician Assistant (PA) in urgent care settings across multiple locations, providing evaluation and treatment for acute conditions such as cough, cold, flu, minor injuries, sutures, toenail removal, and splints for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat acute medical conditions in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Collaborate with on-site physicians, medical assistants, and other clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
• Exercise prescriptive authority as required.
• Manage a patient load of approximately 3 patients per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to deliver urgent care services in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with clinical team members.
• Prescriptive authority required.
• Board certification requirements negotiable.

Schedule

Day shifts, typically three 12-hour shifts per week, at regional clinics across the state.

• Patient population spans all ages.
• Position is on-site, with no call required, and is classified as locum tenens.
