Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner
About the Role
We're seeking board certified Nurse Practitioners licensed in Idaho (multi licensed strongly preferred) with broad clinical expertise and a passion for improving healthcare access and quality. In this role, you'll deliver virtual comprehensive care to patients of all ages across a wide range of conditions, while working closely with our provider and support teams.
Schedule Options
Part-Time (20 hours/week)
- Weekday shifts: Must be scheduled between 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Weekend rotation: Required to work every other weekend (both Saturday AND Sunday)
- Shift types: 8-hour shifts (scheduled between 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), rotating between day and evening hours every other weekend
- Holiday commitment: 2 holiday shifts required per calendar year
Shift scheduling is managed by our team (this is not a self-scheduling role), but we always do our best to take your personal preferences into consideration. Final hours and specific shift times will be confirmed a few weeks prior to your official start date.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Master's or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, with prior graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with maintained Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, in accordance with state requirements
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
- Active RN compact license
- Active multi-state licensure (5+ licenses preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Experience providing care to newborns through adult populations
- Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to manage a broad range of conditions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records
- Maintain active Medicare status - In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and not excluded from participation in federal health programs
- Currently unable to consider candidates residing in the following states: CA, NY, GA, TN, IL, NV, MO, AL, SC, IN, MI, OR, MA, MS, AK, DC, HI
Responsibilities
- Conduct age-appropriate history and virtual exams
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of conditions across the lifespan
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Develop and document treatment plans in a timely, accurate manner
- Manage acute, chronic, and mental health conditions for pediatric and adult patients
- Request consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate
- Counsel and educate patients and families on treatment plans
- Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based care
- Provide cross-coverage for tasks such as reviewing lab results
- Offer scheduling flexibility, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior telemedicine or video-based virtual care experience
- Experience with Athena EMR
Pay
Part-Time (20 hrs/wk minimum) | $59.13-$65.04/hr avg., plus additional productivity incentive opportunities. Included Health offers productivity incentives for employees who exceed the visit target. Details of the incentive structure will be discussed during the interview process.
