Facility Highlights
- Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) is the administrative and medical hub of the Shiprock Service Unit (SRSU), the largest geographical service unit within the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS).
- NNMC boasts a 69-bed facility, a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit, and an Emergency Department designated as a Level IV trauma center, ensuring top-tier care for all patients, including those requiring trauma and pediatric emergency services.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide urgent care services in the SuperTrack unit, seeing an average of 12-19 patients per day.
- Clinical Services: Perform minor surgeries, suturing, EKGs, lab work, X-rays, ultrasounds, and manage undisplaced fractures.
- Collaboration: Work alongside a team of physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver comprehensive healthcare.
Work Schedule
- Shift Hours: 10-hour shifts starting at 7am, 8am, Noon, or 2pm (if 4 providers scheduled) or 8am, 10am, and 1pm (if 3 providers scheduled).
- Support: Each shift is supported by a nurse and a tech, with at least one physician present in the main ED at all times.
Qualifications
- Certifications: BLS, Board Certification, COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination 2023.
- Licenses: Valid DEA License.
- Experience: Proficiency in providing comprehensive urgent care services and managing diverse patient populations.
- EHR System: Resource & Patient Management System (RPMS)
