Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner
Job Details
As a Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner with CHI St Vincent Medical Group working at CHI St Vincent Convenient Care, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive and efficient care to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
You will utilize your clinical expertise to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of common medical conditions in an outpatient setting. You will be passionate about providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to our community.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, X-rays).
- Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Preserve medications and other therapeutic interventions as needed, adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and wound care.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (Epic).
- Follow a 7-day rotation working every other weekend.
Job Requirements
- Required:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner active or eligible license in the state of Arkansas
- BLS
- ACLs
