UR Medicine Maternal-Fetal Medicine – Registered Nurse, Level II

About the role

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for care of women with high-risk pregnancies in the ambulatory setting
• Provide specialized nursing care, education, and care coordination for these patients
• Collaborate closely with providers and insurance companies to complete medication prior authorizations and facilitate timely access to prescribed therapies and supplies
• Telephone triage to ensure communication between patients and providers
• Coordination of care
• Fetal monitoring

Requirements

• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Minimum of 1-2 years obstetrical nursing experience required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary maternal-fetal medicine setting.

Schedule

Part-time position available (30 hrs/week), days, Monday-Friday.

Pay

$38.76 - $52.33 per hour
