About the role
Toshiba International Corporation is seeking a UPS Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The technician will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair UPS equipment and peripherals, and provide customer support.
Responsibilities
- Perform Startup of new UPS equipment and peripherals at customer's sites.
- Follow startup procedures for single and three phase UPS, multi-module (parallel) systems, ESS systems (VRLA, SCiB, and other technologies).
- Perform Commissioning and Site Support at customer's sites.
- Support Commissioning agents to ensure proper operation of UPS equipment and peripheral equipment.
- Perform Preventive maintenance of existing UPS equipment at customer's sites.
- Follow Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures for single and three phase UPS, multi-module systems, ESS systems, and Maintenance bypass systems.
- Troubleshoot/repair UPS equipment at customer's sites.
- Use schematics to locate defective components and test power supply voltages with DMM.
- Verify UPS equipment is fully operational before leaving the customer's site.
- Assist in FWT at TIC facility, including equipment installation and use of rigging equipment.
- Provide technical support via phone or OSSR system.
Requirements
- Education/Certification: Associates Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience.
- Skills & Experience: 0-6 years of relevant experience.
- Travel: Over 60-85%
