Key Responsibilities
- Conducts commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares test procedures and reports, and oversees on-site testing.
- Performs preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up, and field modifications.
- Collaborates with technical support to resolve maintenance or operational issues.
- Aids in developing Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
- Reports to a supervisor for any unusual issues or developments.
- Periodically trains at company headquarters on testing equipment and rebuilding systems.
- Completes Field Service Reports promptly and provides proactive recommendations to clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience. Preferred 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Skilled in troubleshooting equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDUs, STSs, etc.
- Proficient with hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently with resourcefulness and initiative.
- Knowledge of equipment manufacturers’ specifications.
- Physically capable of bending and lifting up to 100 lbs as required.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call when needed.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Prior experience with third-party UPS service providers is a plus.
- Experience with brands such as Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider, or Eaton/Powerware/PDI is required.
- A technical degree (e.g., DeVry, Lincoln Tech) is a plus.
- Military veterans with experience in Electrical/Mechanical systems are highly valued (Navy EMN, ETN, MMNs, Army Power Generation, Air Force Power Production, Coast Guard, etc.).
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Primarily regional travel within Atlanta, GA; occasional national travel may be required (not including emergencies).
