Upper School Administrative Support Assistant
Position Overview
Starting in August 2026, we seek a dynamic Upper School Administrative Support Assistant. This full-time position reports to the High School Principal and is based in the High School building. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about independent school culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a positive relationship with all members of our school community
- Greet and direct all visitors and families who enter the Oak Street High School entrance
- Keep track of and record all high school attendance, and communicate with faculty and families regarding any specific situation concerning attendance
- Act as point person for high school emergency response management during drills and emergencies
- Act as point person on field trip logistics and risk management, helping teachers organize trips, and ensuring they check in and out properly and have access to the proper first aid and medical supplies
- Organize individual visits for college and university representatives as well as university fairs in coordination with the College Guidance team
- Provide support to the High School office with supply orders
- Distribute high school mail

- Strong interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to organize events and coordinate with other departments
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service
- Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous demands with a willing, friendly attitude
- Effective collaboration skills with all members of our community
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and be proactive
- Previous experience in independent schools or nonprofits preferred
- A demonstrated commitment to The International School of San Francisco’s mission and values
- A demonstrated appreciation and understanding of other cultures
