"Update Civil Service Account"

The purpose of this application

The purpose of this application is to allow individuals to update personal information, such as Veteran Status, EMT Certifications, Language Fluency, Gender, Ethnicity, Employment Locations beyond residency preference on the Firefighter and Police Officer lists, etc.

Who can use this application

• Individuals who currently appear on an Official Service or Labor Service Eligible List, or have previously filed for an examination with Massachusetts Civil Service.
• Any individual who wishes to view and update the contact information listed in their profile, such as address, email, phone number, etc.

What information is not included in this application

• This application is not to be used by promotional candidates who wish to submit ECT&E, E&E or promotional claims or appeals.

Important Notes

• Due to the method of data conversion, combined with the fact that some applications were received in our former application system, and migrated to our new system through our data conversion process, some individuals will not be able to see their examination score(s) through their Civil Service Account.
• Individual standings on current Official Service Eligible Lists can be found at: https://www.mass.gov/service-details/civil-service-eligible-lists
• Your application will not be processed properly if you have multiple Civil Service accounts, or if multiple accounts are linked to the same email address. Please keep your username and password information secure.

Instructions for New Users

• Click the "Apply" button above.
• Click the "Create an Account" link.
• Follow the instructions to create a new account.
• Click on the "Main Menu" tab and click the "*Update Civil Service Account" link to continue your application.
• Follow Instructions and Submit

Instructions for Returning Users

• Simply log in to your account and apply for the "*Update Civil Service Account" posting.

Please Note: Each time you submit an application to update the information being collected, make sure to answer each question. Any field left blank will erase a previous claim filed with Civil Service.
