Responsibilities
- Standing routine watches and record pertinent data
- Proper execution of start-up and shut-down procedures
- Perform system troubleshooting and repairs
- Complete weekly/monthly preventative maintenance
- Safely maintain vessel systems to applicable regulations
- Participate in mandated drills and emergency procedures as directed
- General duties such as cleaning, painting, and maintaining the engine space
- Transferring Water, Sewage, and Fuel
- Proper communication with peers
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Valid Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) or willing and able to obtain TWIC
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined
- Willing to learn
Qualifications
- Flexible work rotations available (4 days on/3days off or 8 days on/6 days off)
- Vessels equipped with full living quarters including galley and common area
- Vessels range from 1,400-9,600 horsepower
- Encourages license upgrades
