About the role

The Coordinator for Student-Athlete Success (SAS) will serve as the secondary liaison to the Director of Student Success and Wellness and the Office of Student Success, for student accessibility services. Under the supervision of the Director of SASW, the Coordinator will provide wide-ranging support services for intercollegiate student-athletes in the areas of academic and wellness that is consistent with the University’s mission, the NCAA, and the CIAA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support services for intercollegiate student-athletes in the areas of academic and wellness.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Student Success and Wellness and the Office of Student Success to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including faculty, staff, and external partners to enhance student-athlete success.
  • Coordinate resources and services to promote student-athlete retention and academic success.
  • Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures that align with the University’s mission and NCAA guidelines.
  • Conduct outreach and programming to foster a supportive environment for student-athletes.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and/or the equivalent, plus two - three years of experience related to the area of assignment; equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • All Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience working with student populations and understanding of student needs.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and CIAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

Preferred skills include:

  • Experience in higher education settings.
  • Knowledge of disability services and accommodations.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Benefits

Eligible for benefits package which includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Pay

Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually.

Schedule

This position is full-time and works standard business hours.
