About the role

Eventide Prairie Commons Assisted Living in Grand Island is hiring a Part-Time Universal Worker I (CNA). Shifts are either 2p–10p (8 hours) or 4:30p–8:30p (4 hours), including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

The CNA assists in providing for residents’ physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs in accordance with established nursing care procedures under the supervision of the charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence.
• Assists with resident admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments and adjusts throughout shift to meet changing resident, caregiver, and team needs, including responding to call lights.
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment as directed, regardless of personal preference.
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan developed for each resident.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times.

Requirements

• 16 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Active CNA certification in the state of Nebraska required.

Pay

Competitive starting pay range of $16.00–$17.92 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions, paid according to employment status and shift worked.
