Universal Banker II

Responsibilities

• Conduct teller transactions and cash vault transactions accurately and timely.
• Receive checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts.
• Verify deposit amounts, examine checks for endorsement and negotiability, and post transactions via an on‑line terminal.
• Cash checks and dispense money from savings and checking accounts after verifying signatures and account balances.
• Offer information on bank products and services that can benefit the customer and enhance their banking relationship.
• Evaluate needs of potential customers and offer appropriate financial products and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
• Inform and advise customers of status or enhancements to current account productivity, and suggest resolutions on account disputes and other account activity.
• Work with the operations and sales team to achieve personal goals in deposit growth, business relationship growth, and consumer relationship growth.
• Maintain current knowledge of competitor products, services, and promotions.
• Provide operational support and exceptional customer service while maintaining essential controls and safeguards.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Perform job functions independently or with limited supervision. Work effectively on own or as part of a team. Demonstrates the Sterling Federal Values in all work activities.

Skills

• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements

Employee must be able to bend, sit, and stand to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lb.
