About the Role

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a BC/BE neurosurgeon with fellowship training in Open Cerebrovascular surgery in addition to Neuro-Endovascular surgery. Candidates with basic or translational research interests are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the academic activities of the Department and College
• Regular attendance at educational activities
• Mentorship of clinical and/or research post-doctoral fellows as well as graduate students
• Teaching fellows, residents and students

Requirements

• Fellowship trained Neurosurgeon
• BC/BE in Neurological Surgery
• Eligible for a South Carolina medical license
• Excellent clinical skills
• Experience teaching fellows, residents and students

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Position posted at the Assistant Professor level on a clinician educator tenure track, dependent upon qualifications and accomplishments of the applicant
