About the role
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking an academic Endocrinologist to join the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Medicine. The successful candidate will provide clinical care, engage in research, and teach future physicians.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients with a broad range of endocrine conditions, including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone, gonadal, and metabolic disorders, in addition to diabetes.
- Participate in the new joint endocrine/obstetric clinic and telemedicine initiatives.
- Collaborate with a team of ten nurse practitioners/physician assistants/dietitians.
- Teach Endocrinology Fellows, rotating residents, and medical students.
Requirements
- MD or MD/PhD board certification (or board eligibility) in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
Qualifications
A strong commitment to excellence in patient care, research, and teaching is essential. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to contribute to the academic mission of MUSC.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment are required.
