About the role
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for our Mother Baby Team. The position embraces the mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities
- Supports departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
- Maintains data and related records
- Performs clerical and other support services as directed
- Processes physician orders
- Communicates with patients and staff
- Handles other general duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED
- At least 1 year experience working in a hospital or doctor’s office
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology required
- Proficient in PC, Internet, and email
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred
